“Unity In Our Community” – Ongoing Efforts in June

For all residents in need, the “Unity In Our Community” campaign continues with Food Distribution events on the first three Mondays in June – June 1, June 8 and June 15 from 10 am to 2 pm at Heights Christian Church – 17300 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Hts. 44120. Limited delivery service is also available upon request (call 216-991-3432, Dawn Lynn/Christ Episcopal, for arrangements).

The “Unity In Our Community” campaign is a collaboration of local faith congregations, neighborhood groups including Ludlow Community Association and residents of Shaker Heights arranging for emergency food pantries to support the hungry and food insecure in our community due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Cash donations to help the efforts can be made through the donation portal:  https://www.cometochristchurch.org/. Click the “GIVE” button, choose “Shaker Food Drive” from menu.

Volunteers are also needed to help in the effort. Volunteers can sign up at:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/508084ba4a62ba6fc1-unity.  There are sign-ups for assembly of bags, drivers and greeters.

And, a new ‘Unity In Our Community’ facebook page has also been set up to follow:  https://www.facebook.com/Unity-in-Community-Food-Pantry-113847290332827.

There is ‘unity in our community’ for all.
